About - Ági Korbuly - Illustrator

I’m a freelancer illustrator from Hungary, based in Budapest.

I was born in 1987 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. I attended the illustration and design course at Corvin Artschool in Budapest
2019-2021. Before that I graduated from Ethnography BA and Cultural Anthropology MA at Eötvös Loránd Science University and studied cartoon drawing at Magyar Rajzfilm Animation Production. I also qualified as a puppetry group leader at Mesebolt Puppet Theater, in 2016. I’m a member of the Hungarian Comics Association (Magyar Képregény Szövetség).

So far I worked mainly for the childrens’ and young adults’ literature and graphic novel, I illustrate contents made for the youth.

I love simple, energetic line drawing in black and white with ink , combined with aquarelle and markers. I also like experimenting with various materials and exploring new ways of visual storytelling. Humor and curiosity are the inexhaustible source of inspiration for me. Also, I regularly hold creative workshops at comics, book and cultural festivals, exhibitions, in libraries, art spaces and art camps as well. I’m also open for collaboration with artists and creatives from various fields of art.
